Makeup For Blue Eyes - Sultry Makeup

Hey Y’all! Here is this week’s look! I wore this look to my sister-in-law’s wedding, and everyone loved it. It is so simple, easy and sultry. I felt so unbelievably sexy while wearing this look. The rusty red eyeshadow, and the brown I used in this look are great colors for blue eyes.

I used a City Color Eyeshadow Trio in Falling  Leaves. This palette runs around $14, and I have linked to amazon where you can purchase it. If you want to use a different palette with similar colors, that’s fine also. The trick to this look is the rust tones in the eyeshadows. Rusty red or brown shades do wonders for blue eyes, but I think this look will flatter any color eye. I also used a touch of black eye shadow from The Ipsy NYX 3 Color Eye Shadow Palette Neutral Trio.

To begin I did my full-face foundation, and my eye brows. This consists of the usual moisturizer, primer and foundation. I set my foundation with my e.l.f. Tone Adjusting powder, and I used a dark-ish color on my brows.
Rough huh? Don’…

Hey Y’all!
Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week has been fantastic thus far. You all know Wednesday means that you get to know a little about me. Something important about me, that I would like to talk about, is that I have Bipolar Type ll. There are many people in this world that are closed minded about mental illness. When some hear the term “mental illness” the first thought they have is of psych wards and strait jackets. While there are people who suffer that badly, I am not one of those people. Please notice that I say suffer, because people with mental illness do suffer. It doesn’t make them weird, or crazy, it makes them sick. If you don’t know anything about Bipolar ll then keep reading. Hopefully by the end of this post you will know more than you need to.
I was very young when I realized that my emotional and psychological reactions were different from those around me. I began to reach out to my family about things that they could not understand. I struggled severely…

Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Hey Y’all!
I have been wanting to try Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water since I first stumbled upon a page that talked about it. This stuff sparked my interest because many facial cleansers out there hurt my face. I have a condition called seborrheic dermatitis, which is basically dandruff, except it is on your face. It makes for ridiculously sensitive skin. This product is supposed to be gentle, but very good. Well, lets see!

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water is in a clear bottle. You can buy pink, blue or green. I bought the blue one. The bottle states that it removes makeup (even waterproof mascara), cleanses and refreshes. The micellar cleansing water looks just like water with a thin oil floating on top, although the bottle states “no oil”. There is a bit of sparkle in the water. The front label claims no rinse, no harsh rubbing, and good for faced lips and eyes and all skin types, even sensitive. That seems like a mighty tall order to me, but at $7.00 a bott…

Blue And Gold Look - Mermaid Makeup

Hey Y’all! This is a new look I tried this week. When I first created the look, I was afraid that it was going to be too much, but turns out it was a success! I got so many compliments.

I began with my face makeup. First I used Garnier Skin Active Ultra Lift 2-in-1 Serum + Moisturizer. I really like that its two in one, and it doesn’t irritate my skin like so many products do. I have sensitive skin. Second I primed my face with e.l.f. Mineral Primer in Tone Adjusting green. After this dried on my face just a bit, then I began with my foundation. I will get deeper into foundation later, but for now just use what worked best for you. After foundation, I used concealer under my eyes and on any discoloration that you could still see. I set it all with e.l.f. tone correcting powder. The pallet I used is L.A. Colors I ❤ Makeup. It is so cheap. I think my sister got it at the Dollar General. Many people would say, "LA Colors, that stuff is crap." I don't think it is.

For my eyes, …

Hey y’all!
Happy Wednesday everyone! I’m gonna tell you guys what used to be my biggest secret: I’m curly. More specifically a 3B, nonporous, thin and fine curly. If you don’t know what that means, go and check out the link below. You won’t be disappointed by the plethora of information here:
They also have a hairtyping quiz that will help you find what is best for your curl pattern, as they are all different. You can find that quiz here. Ok, so, back to about me. I used to pile on the products and the Bobby pins and everything I could get my hands on that might make my hair lay down. Then I discovered the straightener. I began straightening my beautiful locks into submission. (GASP! I know, heat damage!) Unfortunately, I had no idea what heat damage was. After years of this my hair did this weird thing where it was straight at the root and on the ends, and curly in the middle. It was almost impossible to wear it anyway but heat styled because it wouldn’t act right, so i…

Let Me Introduce Myself

Hey Y'all!

Welcome to my blog! Please bear with me in these early days of being a new blogger. I am still learning a whole heap of things, but I think I am getting the hang of it.
My first post, as you have probably seen, is a product review. (Not the best one I might add, it was mostly just a test post.) I plan on bringing you a great review every Monday on some of the best drugstore brands and budget buys! Later on, I plan on reviewing some higher end products for you guys, but for now we will just stick to what we all know. (Walmart, anyone?)
Ooon Wednesdays you will get the special treat of “Get to Know Me posts.” I don’t have the equipment to do videos yet, but in the future, I hope to give you guys some videos. Like, in the way future. Like, a long time from now, because I am poor. Also, pores. They’re awful. Am I right? (Ba-Dum-Tss.) Anyway, I’m just going to show you pictures of my life and tell you about yours truly in these posts.

Now here’s the big one! FRIDAYS! Everyone…
